About

“Most of the material found here is for the traveler in all of us. The journey to the grocery store can be just as revealing as the encounters on a two-lane highway. For those that like to explore, to see new places and people, to ponder the wonderful gift of travel, I hope you find something here that inspires you.”

D. Brent Miller portraitD. Brent Miller has written and photographed for daily and weekly newspapers, magazines, and provided communication consulting to others, “helping others tell their stories.” He has completed a number of personal projects, and has built a body of work in small towns and rural issues and now in travel writing.

Brent holds Master’s Degrees in Journalism (1993) and Communication Studies (1989) from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois, and a B.A. in Applied Christian Studies from Trinity College, Deerfield, Illinois.

An avid motorcyclist, Brent has traveled all over the Midwest, West and South, and when he motorcycled to the New England states and entered Vermont in June 2016, he completed his personal quest: 48 states by motorcycle.
