Trovillo-Road-1
Trovillo Road

Trovillo Road is more like the size of a wide driveway. It winds up the side of the hillside along a fast falling creek that empties into the Little Miami River.

The township has put down a hard surface, but it seems years ago with the potholes and patches along its route. It serves a few homes at the top of the hill before it connects with a more traveled road.

The first time I traveled Trovillo, I was with a group of motorcyclists out for a breakfast ride. The leader took us up this road, he said, for me. He wanted me to have some “dual sport” road to ride on. I think the Harley riders were complaining about his choice.

I was happy to find the jewel.

Vegetable art found on the farm

I am not a farmer, but I spend time on a farm whenever I can. Any farm. There’s something wholesome about being on a farm, out in the country.

And of course, no visit to a farm would be complete without a camera. You just never know what you might find, like a harvest of mini, decorative pumpkins.

Photographed while touring the Barn Quilt Tour in Central Ohio. 2010.

A conversation with Carla King

While I work on reformatting and adding content, I wanted to launch the page, “Conversations.” Premiering on this page, a conversation I recorded in 2009.

Carla King is one of the most fascinating women you will ever meet. She is a writer, adventurer, motorcyclist, web designer and … well … the list could go on and on. You can listen to our conversation here.

AND, you can expect more conversations soon.
